Monthly Meeting and Topics
Our next monthly meeting will be held on Tuesday July 9. Dinner and Social Hour start at 5:30 with the meeting following at 6:30. Our special guest this month will be John Ricciotti. John is bringing his Meyers Mac-145 to share. This aircraft is the 9th of the 22 produced. Come and see this unique airplane. This month's menu is a Taco Bar.
Young Eagles & Eagle Flight Experiences
Founded in 1992, the Young Eagles program is dedicated to giving youth ages 8–17, an opportunity to go flying in a general aviation airplane. EAA’s Eagle Flights® is a flight experience and informal mentoring program designed to welcome and encourage adults who want to discover flying, but don’t know how or where to take that first step. These flights are offered free of charge and are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers.
Jenny Project
EAA Chapter 1414, in partnership with the Poplar Grove Vintage Wings and Wheels Museum, constructed a 1918 Curtiss JN-4 "Jenny" aircraft. The Jenny is an iconic aircraft and a marvelous example of early American aviation.
Breezy Project
Thanks to a very generous donation by Poplar Grove Airport owners Steve & Tina Thomas, EAA Chapter 1414 has begun the restoration of a Breezy! The ultimate open-air
flying experience!
